Missing Connection  Kids spend an average of seven hours a day at school, equally 35 hours a week and that is calculated to an astounding 1,330 hours a year in the classroom. Despite a large part of waking hours dedicated to studies, it is difficult to see the relationship that school knowledge has to our daily life and how it really prepares us for the later years. Pink Tax

“Pink tax” is a term that refers to gender-based price discrimation for common products, usually related to toiletries Ax The Pink Tax . Women are often up-charged for similar, if not the same products as men. A simple example is a blue razor marketed to the male population that might be $1.99. This selection is shelved opposite the female pink version which is tagged $2.50. The shavers are basically the same, and if anything, the blue choice works better and lasts longer.  It was estimated that 42% of the time, women pay more for the same products as men Price Discrepancy  On average, women are charged $1,351 extra every year (Ax the Pink Tax). It might seem hard to believe, but the Pink Tax has cost me $22,014 in just the sixteen years that I have been alive. All Too Surreal

Monday 3/30/20: I went on a walk around 7 at night with my sister. The sunset was beautiful, but the silence was deafening. I urged my sister to take a picture of me in the middle of the road so we could remember this moment for years to come. Streets all around that were once filled with cars left and right, are now bare. There were not even cars parked on the street, as no visitors are welcome in people’s houses anymore. We only passed by a few other people throughout our walk, and as we see them strolling towards us off in the distance, it is up to eye communication to decide who will move to the street, as to maintain the six foot distance protocol. As we walked around the neighborhood and into the small village center, nearly all stores and restaurants  were desolate.
